“In the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth, the earth was a formless void and darkness covered the face of the deep, while a wind from God swept over the face of the waters (Gen 1: 1-2).”

The Bible begins by talking about ‘the beginning’. In the beginning, the earth was a ‘formless void’ and everything was covered in ‘darkness.’ This is when the a ‘wind from God’ sweeps over the face of the waters and behold! the beautiful creation of the universe happens next.

In today’s world, human beings often finds themselves in a ‘darkness’ that they cannot explain. Many regard themselves as a ‘formless void.’ We come across people who often finds themselves at the bottom, pleading to help them to get out of the depths of depression, sorrows, loss and spiritual-emptiness. We often wander without knowing the purpose of our existence, without realizing the gift of life. We often feel broken, failed, deceived and worthless. We fail to find meaning. We feel like mere puppets of destiny.

Allow the wind from God to sweep over you- the formless void in darkness. Allow the wind to stir you up. Allow the wind to transform you into a beautifully organized, purposeful person.

God created man. God created you. When God created you, it was not an accident. He created you with a plan- a marvelous one for your welfare and prosperity. He wanted you to share His love, mercy and glory for eternity.

But sin ruined His plans. However, the story does not end there. Look at the cross on the Calvary. Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, our Lord and our saviors, died for you on the cross. He redeemed you from the sin. Because He LOVED YOU SO MUCH.

It is our turn to respond to His eternal love. Now is the time to accept Jesus into your life and live the beautiful life in this world before living the glorious life in the eternity of heaven.

“God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us. (Romans 5:5)’

The ‘wind from God swept over the face of the waters’ is the Holy Spirit. It is the same spirit that enables us to experience the love of our God.

Today, allow the Holy Spirit to disrupt you and redo you. Let Him stir you up. Let him blow away the burdens that stop you from experiencing the love of God. Let him bring in the new light of God’s love into your heart.

When the Holy Spirit comes upon you, He will create a new heart with you. You will be burning with the love of God and you will be a witness. God bless, Amen.
